Accessible Home Modifications: Occupational and Physical Therapy Continuing Education – September 29th, 2012
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to earn CEUs and learn more about accessible home modifications. Rob Horkheimer, MPT, CAPS, CEAC, ECHM, a regional expert on accessible home modifications, will be sharing his experience and knowledge about accessible modifications in the home. He will be presenting a common sense evaluation approach and discussing innovative solutions and products that can help create more independent and safe environments. Rob will also discuss a number of valuable funding resources and options that assist individuals with home modifications as well as durable medical equipment needs. The Course will run on Saturday September 29th from 8AM until noon at the UWM Continuing Education Plankinton Building on the 7th floor at 161 W Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53203. Note that though this course is focused as a continuing education course for physical and occupational therapists all persons are welcome including: accessibility specialists, DME specialists, designers, and individuals involved in the construction process.

Rob Horkheimer, MPT, CAPS, CEAC, ECHM – is an accessibility specialist and owner of a local family run home modification business – BILD – Bridgeway Independent Living Designs, LLC. Rob is currently a practicing accessibility specialist with BILD and practicing physical therapist at Froedtert Hospital. Rob has presented to a number of universities and groups on the topics of accessible modifications and rehabilitation topics including: Marquette University, UWM, Mount Mary College, and Concordia College.
