Door Widening
BILD provides solutions for door widening and options. Accessible door management may include widening of traditional swing doorways, or use of “swing clear” or offset door hinges, which swing the door clear of the door frame so the thickness of the door doesn’t intrude into the door frame width.
Sometimes alternate solutions for door management may work better to avoid having to navigate the door swinging into a room. Pocket doors which slide into the wall, or outer sliding “barn doors” allow a sliding door solution that eliminates having to maneuver around a door swing into a room.
