Mequon, WI – Stair Lifts, Ramps, and Grab Bars

BILD provided our customer stair lifts, ramps, and grab bars to provide safety and independence to a her beautiful home in Mequon, WI.  In this project by BILD we assisted our client with access to all parts of the home to age safely and gracevully.  The work we provided for this wonderful woman provided her children also the peace of mind that their mom was able to manage safely with her new Mequon stair lifts, ramps, and grab bars.

Our evaluator came to the home and assessed the setup of the home to help create a plan with the input of our staff mobility specialists who have background as physical therapists, and national educators on home modification and safety solutions.  We provide a safe aluminum modular ramp, with grated (high traction) flooring to allow for safer and easier mobility inside of the garage, for easier access inside of this Mequon home.  BILD’s modular ramps provide a very durable and low-maintenance solution which does not require painting, or concrete footings, and is not subject to rot and decay like wood ramps.  The durability and non-maintenance aspect of these ramps provided peace of mind to our client, knowing that it is long lasting and will not require repairs, painting or maintenance

Our client had a difficult transition into the garage with an angled entry into the garage area, and we were able to create a custom landing in the garage to make an easier approach to enter the doorway.  The modular aluminum wheelchair ramp inside of the garage provides a safe and sheltered entry in and out of the home.

BILD installed 2 stair lifts into the home, including a straight stair lift into the basement, providing a Handicare 1100 straight stair lift which provides an extremely narrow track, and no-grease track for a low maintenance wheelchair setup.  Access to the upstairs was provided with the Harmar Helix curved stair lift which is a sleek and heavy duty stair lift which provided safe transfer points at the top and bottom sections of the upper and lower levels to allow for easy access to the home.

We also assessed and made recommendations for bathroom safety by installing grab bars for easy and safe management in the bathroom.  We assisted with finding a safe grab bar placement and setup, and provided recommendations and assistance in safe grab bar installation for the home.
