Rob graduated from Marquette University with a Masters in physical therapy.  He has over 24 years of experience as a physical therapist working with individuals with various ages and levels of disability.  He currently teaches continuing education nationally for other healthcare professionals, construction & design professionals, and persons interested in accessible solutions and has instructed thousands of professionals in accessible & universal design, as well as safe patient handling on a national level.  He has attended national conferences and seminars on remodeling and accessible solutions for homes, businesses, churches, and for the community.  He is one of the most credentialed accessibility consultants in the country, with certification through Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designation, Master Certified Environmental Access Consultant (CEAC), Certified Living in Place Professional (CLIPP) and U.S.C. Executive Certificate in Home Modifications (ECHM).

Edward received his bachelor of arts in business admin from Ottawa University. He has 13 years of management experience and 11 years of sales experience which underlies his commitment to seamless communication and quality customer service.  Edward believes in providing superior customer experience by going above and beyond expectations, and works tirelessly to meet the needs of our customers and clients.  He has excelled in the field of accessibility and a passion particularly for serving individuals with disabilities and those striving to remain at home as long as possible.  He has been factory trained and certified through Handicare as a specialist in patient transfer lift and stairlift systems, and has presented extensively on lift solutions.  Ed prides himself in building long term relationships with his clients and their families, working closely with our therapists, designers, and tradesmen to meet their needs.  Ed is an avid dog and bird lover as well, and he has completed the Living In Place Institue’s “Certified Living in Place Professional” certification.

Brian has a bachelor degree in psychology and human development, with additional background in painting, finish work, landscape design and color theory. He trained in environmental psychology looking at how people are affected by their home and work environments.  Brian has an associate’s degree in interior design and worked for 4 years for Peabody’s Interiors, one of the finest design firms in the Midwest. Brian has provided interior design work throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. He describes his main design philosophy as modern with a focus on simplicity and symmetry, however he has worked with clients in all types of design aesthetics. Brian is ASID affiliated and summarizes his approach saying, “I always tell people that while I will always have opinions and a view on what I think the end product should be, my job is to make their home work for them. I don’t live there, so in the end I will do what I can to put the very best things in their home to make it work for them, and look great at the same time.”

Melissa Lydecker BILD

Melissa graduated from Marquette University with a Master’s in Physical Therapy in 2003.  She has worked as a PT in both IL and WI, primarily treating the geriatric population and those who have suffered a neurologic insult.  Melissa has a passion for home modification and accessibility, to keep individuals in their homes throughout their disease process and aging.  She values the importance of maintaining an individuals’ dignity and allowing them to remain mobile in an accessible and aesthetically pleasing environment.  Melissa has attended continuing education opportunities that focus on aging in place.  She teaches Stepping On workshops in Milwaukee; an evidence based program that focuses on fall prevention and improving confidence of community dwelling individuals.  Melissa is committed to building a strong relationship with her clients and understanding the physical and emotional needs that people develop in creating their home.
