Do stair lifts require regular maintenance?
Many lift systems require lubrication, battery replacement, and other general upkeep. BILD provides low maintenance stair lifts that are reliable and dependable. Available upgrades include in-house factory certified technical repair services for additional peace of mind.
Are there stair lift systems available that look nice?
BILD provides stair lifts that provide the greatest amount of available options for finishes and upholstery. The stair lift systems we provide are designed to look nice and can be customized to your decor.
Are extended warranties available?
BILD offers the most durable systems available. Nonetheless maintenance is required. We offer preventative maintenance agreements and extended warranty programs.
Do all stair lifts require lubrication?
Most stair lifts require routine lubrication. However BILD offers an option, The Harmar Pinnacle, that amazingly requires no lubrication. This means less maintenance and more durability.
Does the track extend past the stairs?
Chair lift track will generally extend roughly 12 inches past the top or bottom of the stairs. Thankfully, Bild offers the option of The Harmar Mechanical Self Folding Rail System: a uniquely designed system that allows the track to fold up or down flush with the stairs.
What happens if the power goes out?
Power outages are a frightening reality. Outdoor lifts run off from direct power because weather can make battery packs unreliable. However our indoor lifts run off battery power, which will make multiple runs in the case of a power outage. Our most efficient model will make up to 40 trips solely on battery backup power.

BILD offers many options for getting up and down stairs in your wheelchair. We provide inclined wheelchair platform lifts which have platforms that fold out of the way. We can also provide elevator systems which save space and can be installed into your existing home. We are one of the few companies nationwide that provides both lift and hoistway construction, all with our in-house staff!
How much do stair lifts cost?
Stair lift systems can vary greatly in cost. Straight stair lift systems generally cost between $2500 – $4500.
